Our official network unlocks are processed remotely - we'll generate a Sony unlock code for your device and send it to you usually within 2-5 working days. Working days are Monday to Friday - and exclude Bank Holidays. On rare occasions, Sony unlocks can take up to 10 working days.
For example - if the order is processed on Monday; the unlock code we would expect to come through between Wednesday and the following Monday.
Once the unlock code is generated on Sony unlock servers, the code needs entering into your device at the 'Enter Network Unlock Code' screen. Your device is then unlocked for good.
Please note: Corporate devices will fail the unlocking process and should not be submitted. Blacklisted devices will also fail the unlocking process and should not be submitted. If you submit one of these devices, we will not be able to refund or cancel the order.
The code generation and delivery is automated and may also be provided out of our working hours.
For Sony devices, you should check you have an unlocking attempt remaining -
1. Turn on the device without a sim card inserted
2. Dial *#*#7378423#*#*
3. Select Service Info, Select SimLock
4. A menu like the one below will be displayed
- [x] Network 10
- Network Subset 0
- Service Provider 0
- Corporate 0
- Sim 0
There should be an "X" before Network and the counter should show number above 0 (zero).
If your counter doesn't show an "X" or shows 0 (zero) this means your phone is hardlocked and it can't be unlocked by a code. In that case DO NOT purchase the service as you will not be able to insert our unlock code and no refund will be given.
